The Liberian Emergency and Disaster Relief Fund (LEADER FUND) was created in 2007 in response to the need of 700 families who were rendered homeless by erosion and sand mining of the coast of Liberia.  The Leader Fund seeks to create a strong alliance between emergency and disaster organizations in Liberia and sources of funding for humanitarian causes.   Efforts will be directed at raising awareness and compassion, and ensuring that funds raised to assist Liberians in emergencies or disaster situations are used to deliver effective and timely relief to people most in need.

Donors, members, supporters, and friends, the LEADER Fund would like to thank you for your contributions and support over the last couple of years that have enabled us to successful support our people during disasters and emergencies. Our mission, which is to generate and maximize contributions to mount an effective and rapid humanitarian response to major emergency and disaster situations affecting Liberians, is more challenging with the current harsh global financial climate, yet we persevere because we are dedicated to helping those who cannot help themselves. Your past donations have benefited some unfortunate Liberians and for that we are very grateful.

Please indulge us as we update you on our activities in the last year and a half:
